1. Information we collect

When you use RoleNudge, we may process the following information:

• Account information: name, email address, authentication identifiers and account settings.
• Career content: work experience, education, skills, projects, public portfolio content and uploaded resumes.
• Job matching data: job descriptions, resume information and the results of analyses you request.
• Billing records: plan, subscription status, provider customer or transaction references. Payment card information is processed by Paddle rather than stored as full card numbers in RoleNudge's application database.
• Technical records: request metadata, IP address, device/browser information and logs necessary to support service operation and security.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate accounts, build resumes and portfolios, match career information with job descriptions, provide requested AI features, manage subscriptions, communicate about accounts, prevent abuse and diagnose errors.

3. AI-assisted features

When you request an AI feature, relevant resume, career or job-description information may be submitted to Google Gemini to produce the requested result. AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate; review it before professional use.

Do not submit third-party confidential or sensitive personal information unless you have permission to do so.

4. Service providers

RoleNudge uses infrastructure and service providers to operate the platform, including Neon for PostgreSQL hosting, Paddle for billing, Resend for service email and Google Gemini for AI processing. Additional service providers may process data for application hosting and file storage as infrastructure changes.

Providers process relevant information for their respective services. Their own policies and contractual terms may apply.

5. Public portfolios and private content

Information you publish on a public portfolio can be viewed by people who have its URL and may be indexed by search engines. Only publish details you intend to make public.

RoleNudge applies authentication and access controls to features intended to be private. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

6. Authentication and cookies

RoleNudge uses authentication and security mechanisms needed to maintain sessions and protect accounts. Any nonessential analytics or advertising technologies, if introduced, require an updated disclosure and applicable consent handling.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain information as needed to provide the requested services, meet applicable legal obligations and maintain security. Retention periods vary according to the data and reason for processing. Records may persist in backups for a limited additional period, subject to backup lifecycle and legal requirements.

You may request information about your data, or request correction or deletion where applicable, through the contact or account-support channels provided within the service. Some records may need to be retained for legal or financial obligations.

8. Security and international processing

We use reasonable security measures, including access controls and encrypted communication where configured. RoleNudge's service providers may process data in countries outside your location. Applicable privacy laws govern any required transfer safeguards.

9. Your rights and age requirements

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or obtain a copy of your information. Identity verification may be needed for requests. Use of the service is subject to the eligibility requirements in our Terms of Service.

10. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as our features, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date on this page will reflect the published version.
